New Blog

It's no secret that food is very important to me. Bigger than that is the connection I see between food, community and love. www.scrumptiouscheer.blogspot.com is my new hang out. There I'll journal about my love for food, the people I enjoy and all the life that happens in between. Check it out!

I love my Small Group!

Some random thoughts...
I was just wishing that tomorrow was Wed. so that it would be small group day. I'd love to have small group every night.
God has really blessed me with fantastic people. This weekend the girls in the group got together for a celebration of a break up. It was too much fun, we ate cake, laughed and watched Enchanted together.
Our group is growing too (we're already a big "small group" at about 12) this week we'll start a new study and add 3 or 4 more people!
I'm amazed that we have great people who weren't connected to the church who are now really plugged in.
Praise God that we were created for community!

The biggest blog rebound!

Simply there's too much awesome stuff going on in my life not to let others in on the fun!
I've said so many time over the last little while "man that would make a great blog" so I'm giving it a shot again.
Life is really good and I serve a God who is huge.

Crazy.

I live stress. I'm quite fimilar with the concept and have had many o' times over the last few years that would be considered "stressful". This my friends is different; I just put my hands on my head (in a huge moment of fulster) and could feel my heart pulsing! This is not normal. On top of the government audit, the student loans, the crappy job and worrying about my friends family I am trying to find an internship for January. I think that's what's really making me crazy. It's just not coming together. I have nothing and every church I look at seems to not be the right fit for one reson or another. Please pray for the grace of God to take over.

How I ate my way though the birthday celebration...

It all started at Ginger Grass on Tuesday night; my brother took Monica and I to this place I'd never been before. Curry! My fav! The celebrations began with a curry noodle bowl. Onward to my new favorite cafe The Wired Monk for some after dinner coffee. A piece of Chocolate Pecan Pie screamed my name and I obeyed. The celebrations continued and the pie was devoured. Then after my class Monica and I met up with Emily. My ultimate eating partner. East Sides it was for a round of nachos and artichoke dip! I couldn't believe I was eating again but alas I enjoyed every bite. Now to my real birthday. It started out with some Tim's (nothing out of the ordinary). Lunch time came and that meant more food. Jack Astor's this time for Fajitas (and salad and bread)... Then it was party time with the family and for supper we had moms chili and of course a few rounds of birthday cake. As if 2 days of eating wasn't enough Thursday comes and I'm continued to celebrate with food. This time Magnolias Grill with Julie for more nachos followed by Ginger Sesame Shrimp stir fry. Delicious!
Three huge days of nothing but food, food, food.
I think a fast is in order.

Facebook Foe

I think everyone who blogs has someting to say about facebook; so it's my turn. Even though the last couple of months have been....stressful, "out-of-whack" and completly chatoic I really have looked forward to blogging once I could find time to make the time to do so. One of the cover stories in the paper this morning was on the downfall of Facebook. Did you know it only started 2 years ago?? Here I thought I'd been under some rock and really it was just getting started. The article is a good read for all those angry Facebookers (who of course still use the thing!).
My next rant--my "to-do" list gets added to everyday here are the things I've been ignoring on Facebook (everytime I log-in this is what I see):
5 friend requests
2 group invitations
1 ilike invitation
2 likeness quiz requests
2 my questions friend requests
1 movie compatibility request
1 growing gift invitation
1 cause invitation
1 tv trivia invitation
3 new wall post requests
1 friend quiz request
1 hawaiian luau invitation
1 jack o`lantern request
1 superpoke! friend request
1 pink ribbon invitation

I hit ignore and people just keep bugging me....
